When I first met Anne Christine Wold, I did’nt know what a beautiful singing voice she had. She’s a sweet and nice person, but humble, so it takes a bit time before you understand how extraordinary gifted as a singer and songwriter she is. So when I realized what a talent she was, I dared to ask her contribute to my album; since I had the idea that I would’nt sing the more easy, lo-key nice tunes I was working on myself. I sent her some music backing tracks and ideas for lyrics, and she wrote beautiful melodies and lyrics on top of that. And I almost did’nt change a single word or note…. Thanks, AC

Although I’ve been in the music business for several years, the album is my debut as an solo artist. People tells me the sound and music is retro, and in the same time cool and progressive. Even though the sound might have some clubbish edge, my roots lies as a rock guitar player, and I’m inspired by the mood of movies, both Italian ”spaghetti” westerns and the music of for instance Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti. My sound has it’s own flavour or special edge, I think because I use this special instrument, a Roland VP 330 Vocoder; which is actually considered a instrument for disco music, since it’s has been used on a lot of funky disco records from the seventies.
Also a bid fed up, since I’ve been working too long on the project, I think!

The album will be released October 10. 2012 on Usixty Records, distributed by Gateway Music.

Please enjoy!

I live in the musical city of Copenhagen and started as a musician, playing rock guitar as a teenager. Later I became a session musican and have played a lot of venues and festivals in Denmark. Later I got involved in the glorious art of producing and have contributed to nearly 80 releases (singles/albums) as a musician, producer and remixer. I was nominated for a Grammy (Danish Music Award) together with one of my musical partners, DJ Henrik Hjarnoe. Our project “Nagano All Stars” (also with DJ Lars Freisig) have sold worldwide, “Push It to the limit” exceeds the sale in over 1 million copies and my music is still played all over the world. Together with DJ Hjarnø (Jox) I’ve done a lot of remixes, including artists like Sarah Brightman, Gloria Estefan, Bob Marley og many Danish acts f.i.
The new sound of Mohavi is a lot different from the things above.
It’s my personal vision in sound and music and I hope you enjoy it!
